HDP Search installation on HDP 2.3

  1. prerequisites
    1. CentOS v6.x / Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v6.x / Oracle Linux v6.x
    2. JDK 1.7 or higher
    3. Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) v2.3
  2. installation
    1. note that solr should be installed on each node that runs HDFS
    2. each node
      1. export JAVA_HOME=/usr/jdk64/jdk1.8.0_40/
      2. ls /etc/yum.repos.d/HDP-UTILS.repo
      3. yum -y install lucidworks-hdpsearch
